Facilities Maintenance Technician
About The Position
At Sandridge Crafted Foods, we're looking for a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician to help maintain the critical systems that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll work alongside our Facilities and Maintenance teams to support building systems, utilities, grounds, HVAC equipment, boilers, water treatment systems, and other essential infrastructure throughout our manufacturing facility. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- HVAC Certification
- Strong electrical knowledge, including low voltage through 480V three-phase systems
- Experience working with pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC equipment, and facility utility systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
- Proficiency with computers and maintenance software systems
Nice To Haves
- EPA 608 Certification (preferred for refrigeration work)
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and Stick preferred)
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment
- Experience with CMMS systems such as UpKeep or similar maintenance software
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing facility utility systems, including water, wastewater, HVAC, boilers, hot water systems, and compressed air systems
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
- Performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
- Replacing valves, filters, belts, motors, sensors, gauges, thermostats, and other facility components
- Assisting with facility upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining exterior grounds and supporting general building upkeep
- Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to address facility-related concerns
- Utilizing testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement lasting repairs
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documenting completed work
- Supporting food safety, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Participating in emergency repairs, breakdown response, and occasional overtime as needed
