The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and skilled maintenance tasks to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations across all assigned University of Kansas Health System Facilities. Working under the direction of the FMO Facility Supervisor, Facility Maintenance Manager, or Lead Technician, this position performs preventive maintenance, responds to service requests, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports operational needs in alignment with The University of Kansas Health Systems mission, goals, and regulatory standards. Maintenance Technicians may work within specific trades (e.g., Systems Shop, Zone, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Operations) or function as multi-skilled generalists. This role requires strong technical competency within assigned disciplines, adherence to safety and compliance standards, effective communication, and a commitment to quality workmanship, customer service, and continuous improvement.
