About The Position

Great Lakes Energy is looking for a facilities maintenance technician to manage routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs for our equipment and facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance or a blend of education and practical work.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license.
  • Certified in forklift and aerial lift operation.
  • Ability to operate fleet vehicles and other specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs for equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment like generators and HVAC systems.
  • Maintain clean and safe spaces inside and out.
  • Change air filters and inspect fire extinguishers.
  • Respond to facility alarms.
  • Ensure everything is documented in our maintenance software.
  • Tackle unexpected facility issues.
  • Support the team with event setups.
  • Perform basic custodial tasks.
  • Make recommendations for facility improvements.
