Schedule: Sunday–Thursday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair services to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of hospital buildings and grounds. This role supports critical healthcare operations by maintaining mechanical systems, interior spaces, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of related experience as a maintenance worker or technician preferred
  • Prior plumbing and HVAC experience in a commercial or healthcare environment strongly preferred
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management/work order systems preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to follow up and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, clean, repair, and operate hospital facilities, including plant operations, mechanical areas, shops, exterior grounds, and campus buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs as assigned; escalate issues to supervisors, skilled trades, vendors, or on‑call personnel when necessary
  • Assist with evaluating and completing minor and routine repairs; promptly report major issues to leadership
  • Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs using hand and power tools
  • Complete a variety of unskilled and semi‑skilled tasks including minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, basic electrical work, lamp replacements, and drywall repair
  • Respond to facility emergencies and perform emergency repairs as needed
  • Conduct rounds, maintain logs, complete work orders, and perform required inspections and testing
  • Accurately read, understand, and follow detailed instructions and procedures
