About The Position

We are presently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the Manufacturing facility and equipment in working condition to support business needs in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant Manufacturing facility maintenance function(s)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Personal Computer skills, including proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated dependability and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to be on your feet for eight hours
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • some college or trade schools preferred
  • Electrical experience/skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems
  • Understanding of PLC’s ability to access programs for troubleshooting purposes
  • Common knowledge of hand tools and electrical testing equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, and water systems
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service ticket repair and preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general manufacturing equipment such as motors and rotating machinery.
  • Work with production personnel to troubleshoot and understand mechanical problems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Maintains building, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and process gas systems
  • Continually and informally assesses building, grounds, and machinery for functionality, professional appearance, and safety.
  • Support the Safety Program with facilities issues
  • Work with outside suppliers and vendors as required to support all the above
  • Assists the Facilities Manager with daily and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
