About The Position

We're seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician (Painter) to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of a residential community. This role is ideal for someone with painting and general maintenance experience who enjoys a variety of tasks and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and management team, you will perform interior and exterior painting, routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and support day-to-day building operations to ensure an exceptional living experience for residents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with drywall repair, painting preparation, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies when needed.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in painting, maintenance, facilities support, apartment communities, hotels, or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, drywall repairs, sanding, priming, and color matching.
  • Complete basic maintenance tasks, including light plumbing, minor electrical repairs, carpentry work, hardware replacement, and HVAC filter changes.
  • Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and safety devices.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and well-presented common areas and maintenance spaces.
  • Assist with move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas, protecting elevators, and supporting building logistics.
  • Coordinate access for vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Perform walkthrough inspections before and after vendor work to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Support general property upkeep, package handling, and common area maintenance as needed.
