About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is a hands-on, multi-trade role responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility issues across BGCCP's 22 club locations in Eastern North Carolina. This position requires regular travel across a nine-county footprint and the ability to operate independently in the field while maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication with the facilities team.

  • Communicate credibly with licensed trades vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and others).
  • Solicit and evaluate multiple quotes when work exceeds in-house capability.
  • Verify vendor work is complete, performed to standard, and aligned with quoted scope before sign-off and payment.
  • Support facilities projects with multiple moving parts by coordinating timing, materials, vendor schedules, and site access.
  • Communicate proactively with site directors, senior facilities staff, and leadership on project status, blockers, and decisions needed.
  • Understand the operational differences between BGCCP-owned standalone sites (where the organization is responsible for everything inside and outside) and rented locations (where work is coordinated with landlords and property management).
  • Engage appropriately with each site type, including building working relationships with landlord-side contacts.
  • Take complete ownership of assigned work orders in MaintainX from initial assessment through completion.
