As our versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be the hero who repairs, maintains, and installs electrical, HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration systems, and more, all while ensuring everything meets top-notch safety standards and building codes. This position is located in Taunton, MA and has a schedule of Monday - Friday; 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and may require working outside and above regular hours at times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6–8+ years of professional experience in a related field
  • A professional license or certificate with limited experience may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Advanced ability to independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Strong working knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and entertainment venue systems
  • Ability to operate and update computerized ticketing systems
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to other locations as required
  • Ability to successfully fulfill D.O.T. certification if required

Responsibilities

  • Independently maintains, repairs, installs, and services electrical, HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration, and entertainment venue equipment (if applicable) in accordance with building codes and safety regulations
  • Performs maintenance and repair on facility systems and equipment across all locations, including furniture lifts, plumbing, entertainment venues, energy management systems, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and daily system operations
  • Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, and maintains facility systems such as water, power distribution, exhaust, fire alarms, emergency systems, gas, and electrical distribution
  • Locates, identifies, and resolves building and system malfunctions using blueprints, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
  • Tests systems and equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and proper operation
  • Assists with facilities projects as needed, including identifying facility systems, zones, and water and power distribution
  • Performs building construction and renovation work as required
  • Creates reports and updates the computerized ticketing system with the status of completed work
  • Operates and repairs equipment such as forklifts, maintenance vehicles, and tow motors
  • Uses and maintains tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, OSHA safety standards, and Jordan’s safety protocols
  • Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned by the Supervisor
