Facilities Maintenance Team Member
About The Position
The Facilities Maintenance Team Member supports daily operations at Delaware Valley Floral Group’s distribution facility by helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning work environment. The role performs routine facility maintenance, inspections, and general upkeep in warehouse, cooler, office, and exterior areas to support operational efficiency. The position works primarily in a warehouse, a cooler maintained at approximately 34°F, and outdoor areas. It involves regular exposure to cleaning products, water, warehouse equipment, and varying noise levels. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional hours and/or days potentially required during peak seasons. This is an onsite, full-time role.
Requirements
- Previous facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or janitorial experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to safely operate or obtain certification to operate forklifts and WAVE equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, and crouch throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, cooler, office, and exterior work areas.
- Perform routine facility maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, and floor maintenance.
- Inspect building equipment, lighting, fire extinguishers, exit lights, and other facility assets.
- Identify and report maintenance issues and complete routine preventative maintenance.
- Operate forklifts and WAVE machines safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials.
- Support compliance with company safety standards and facility maintenance procedures.
