As a Facilities Maintenance Team Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring optimal facility utilization through various maintenance and management duties. This role involves managing and performing maintenance/repair duties on conveyor systems and associated equipment, leading weather response initiatives, providing 24/7 on-call support, troubleshooting conveyor electronics, serving as the Safety Point of Contact, supporting special projects and planning, filling in for absent technicians, maintaining compactors, performing light electrical and plumbing repairs, and operating power equipment for loading/unloading items. Additionally, you will be responsible for assigning daily duties to facility technicians and associates, providing operational support, implementing quality control measures and inspection baselines, coordinating with outside contractors, and managing supply orders and inventory.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing and performing maintenance/repair duties on conveyor systems and associated equipment (printers, strappers, ladders, power equipment)
  • Leading weather response initiatives
  • Providing 24/7 on-call support
  • Troubleshooting conveyor electronics
  • Serving as the Safety Point of Contact
  • Supporting special projects and planning
  • Filling in for absent technicians as needed
  • Maintaining compactors
  • Performing light electrical and plumbing repairs
  • Operating power equipment for loading/unloading items
  • Assigning daily duties to facility technicians and associates
  • Providing operational support to team members
  • Implementing quality control measures and inspection baselines
  • Coordinating with outside contractors for facilities and equipment repair
  • Managing supply orders and maintaining inventory of supplies and critical parts
  • Ensuring the completion of numerous inspection and maintenance tasks: Weekly generator inspections, Monthly transfers and load bank testing, ATS maintenance, BIO/Refer PDMA inspections, Air compressor maintenance, Ladder inspections, Fire extinguisher checks, Housekeeping oversight, Emergency door inspections, Security and fire system maintenance, Locker checks, UPS maintenance, Annual infrared scans
  • Training the facilities team on: LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures, Machinery operation, ASR (Automated Storage and Retrieval) systems, Electrical safety protocols, MDR (Motorized Drive Roller) systems, Power equipment operation, Controlled Hazardous Energy procedures, Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage
