About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing facilities maintenance operations, ensuring equipment functions correctly, and maintaining a high-quality product. The supervisor will be involved in evaluating equipment design, implementing lean manufacturing tools, and coaching team members on operational functions. A strong understanding of precision equipment and best maintenance practices for specific machinery is essential. The position requires a high level of safety awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • Twenty-four months of education and training on CNC lathe operations or maintenance and repair, or a closely related area.
  • Two years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities, including the ability to recognize electrical and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. Experience on CNC equipment is preferred.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background, drug, and work screen.
  • Must be available to work day shift, rotating weekend duty, and provide 24/7 support.
  • Competency in evaluating equipment function design and impact on operation or maintainability.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools — 5s, value stream mapping, process center-lining, standard work.
  • Extensive knowledge of precision equipment including dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, CMM, or other measuring instruments.
  • Thorough understanding of best maintenance practices for Mori and Okuma Lathes.
  • Possess elevated level of safety awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities, as necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Proficiency with Kronos Payroll System.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Heavy CMMS experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on CNC equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate equipment function design and its impact on operation or maintainability.
  • Implement lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, value stream mapping, process center-lining, and standard work.
  • Coach and train on lathe operational functions to ensure high-quality product output.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of precision equipment (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to ensure conformity.
  • Apply thorough understanding of best maintenance practices for Mori and Okuma Lathes.
  • Maintain an elevated level of safety awareness.
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.
  • Review and execute weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure accurate recorded histories in work order completions.
  • Develop and execute training plans for maintenance workers.
  • Update inventories and other supplies as needed.
  • Establish and sustain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Communicate best practice reliability methods and ensure team focus on implementation.
  • Challenge peers, team members, and customers to accept and apply innovative approaches, technologies, and/or processes.
  • Facilitate teams to drive cost efficiencies and add economic value.
  • Formulate and implement action plans based on troubleshooting skills and structured problem-solving analysis.
