About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining all buildings, grounds, irrigation and mechanical systems in normal operation. Repairs requiring specialty training or tools/equipment not in our inventory will be reported to supervisor for further evaluation. May work on office equipment and in joint effort with IT department. Follows all security and safety procedures for all assigned credit union branches, and administration locations. Performs daily tasks with little to no supervision and records work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) daily. May work alone or as part of a team. Coordinates the activities of contractors and vendors as required to ensure workmanship is within the normal accepted guidelines of the trade. The nature of this position requires significant time spent walking, standing, and moving throughout USF CU locations. The role is primarily active and field-based, with desk work representing a smaller portion of the employees’ daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 3-5 years of previous facilities experience in a similar or related field required.
  • HVAC experience
  • Ability to safely use standard hand and power tools.
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and expected to operate company vehicles in performance of normal duties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent technical aptitude
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and members both orally and in writing.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task under pressure and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills, while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

  • College, Journeyman, Technical or Trade certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, repair, inspection and setting up of emergency generators
  • Minor repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems/circuits
  • Maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of roofing systems
  • Maintenance, minor repair, troubleshooting, basic plumbing including but not limited to toilets, sinks, fixtures, and irrigation systems.
  • Maintenance, minor repair, and installation of general building items including but not limited to doors and hardware, furniture, bulletin boards, minor drywall repair, and both interior and exterior painting.
  • HVAC minor prevention and corrective action, system monitoring, and repair/replacement of sections as required. Troubleshooting, diagnostic, ability to take meter readings and refer to and interpret manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform parts inventory and order parts as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
  • Provide support for company events and employee activities as needed.
  • Monitor, inventory, order and supply snacks and beverages for company breakrooms.
  • Monitor, inventory, order and supply all supplies for custodial contract and track usage.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance on major systems
  • Schedule routine maintenance of facilities systems as needed
  • Other duties as needed
