Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance processes.
  • Practical knowledge of maintenance inventory management and the supply process.
  • Technical expertise in integrated automation.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (building, fire, electricity, TSSA, etc.);
  • Management focused on preventive maintenance (rather than reactive) and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage a maintenance budget.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Flexibility in terms of schedules.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and sustained environment.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Sense of organization and time management.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or Red Seal Certification in a Technical Trade applicable to the agri-food sector
  • Significant experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the agri-food sector, or another sector with high volume and rapidity of production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a predictive/preventive maintenance plan.
  • Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities/projects.
  • Establish schedules for maintenance activities/projects and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure the planning and hiring of the maintenance team workforce.
  • Supervise, train, and develop the members of your team to meet the current and future needs of the Company.
  • Lend a helping hand to the members of your team to identify, deal with and resolve technical issues, sometimes complex.
  • Ensure the legal and regulatory compliance of equipment, infrastructure, and all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards as well as safety rules.
  • Participate on the factory management committee.
  • Support the management team in the development and execution of a three-year plan for the plant.
  • Work with the Plant Manager and the production team to establish key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, losses and downtime.
  • Ensure monitoring, analysis and improvement of key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Carry out effective budget planning and management in keeping with the budget allocated for maintenance and to optimize maintenance costs.
  • Report on the daily activities carried out by the maintenance team.
  • Perform facility inspections to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ensure optimal management of inventory and replenishment (e.g. spare parts, maintenance tools, etc.).
  • Make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the plant and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Develop key relationships with subcontractors/service providers.
  • Plan and coordinate the factory work of subcontractors/service providers.
