About The Position

NORPEL is a rapidly growing company seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at our Hazle Township, Pennsylvania facility. This position will be responsible for leading the Maintenance Department, ensuring equipment and facility reliability, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while demonstrating strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, food processing, or facility maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and facility systems.
  • Proven ability to supervise, train, and motivate maintenance personnel.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and maintenance best practices.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration and preventative maintenance programs preferred.
  • Technical training or trade certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, motivate, and develop employees within the Maintenance Department.
  • Prioritize equipment and parts maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Own, manage, and maintain the preventative maintenance program for the Pennsylvania facility.
  • Manage the Ammonia Refrigeration Plant, which supports cold storage, production areas, plate freezers, and rotators.
  • Maintain existing warehousing and production facilities in safe, reliable, and optimal working condition.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery and facility systems, including refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment.
  • Establish and enforce safety policies and procedures within the Maintenance Department.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure scheduled inspections and repairs are completed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, facility performance, and maintenance processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
