As the Facilities Maintenance Lead at Torus, you will serve as the mechanical and operational backbone of our physical environment. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in general facilities upkeep, including professional drywall repair, framing, painting, and high-end interior finishes.
  • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy-duty air compressors and high-pressure airline piping systems.
  • Experience assembling, building, aligning, and maintaining mechanical conveyor systems and production machinery.
  • Ability to manage the full lifecycle of new machinery setup, from unboxing and positioning to initial testing, calibration, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity working alongside professional riggers to safely move, lift, and position oversized industrial machinery.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to safely perform small-scale electrical work (e.g., wiring fixtures, switches, or minor troubleshooting).
  • Experience coordinating and overseeing third-party contractors, including landscaping crews, specialized technicians, and external facility maintenance vendors.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain organized material storage solutions to maximize warehouse or facility efficiency.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be fully fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, with a strong ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  • A "can-do" attitude with the agility to pivot from a minor cosmetic fix to a major mechanical breakdown at a moment's notice.
  • Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.
  • Ability to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet.
  • Ability to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.
  • Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must report to work reliably and with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, calibration, and initial testing of new machinery, ensuring all equipment is safely commissioned and production-ready.
  • Partner with external rigging teams to safely maneuver, lift, and position heavy industrial equipment.
  • Build, install, align, and maintain mechanical conveyor systems to ensure smooth workflow operations.
  • Install and perform ongoing maintenance on air compressors and high-pressure water/airline piping systems.
  • Perform high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs, including drywall patching, framing, and interior finishes.
  • Conduct routine troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and minor electrical/HVAC work as needed.
  • Oversee exterior facility maintenance, including building signage, outdoor safety compliance, and general property aesthetics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party contractors, ensuring landscaping and external service providers meet Torus standards.
  • Design and implement efficient inventory and material storage systems to maximize facility space and organization.
  • Read and interpret English technical manuals, safety schematics, and blue prints to ensure all installations meet strict compliance standards.
  • Proactively identify facility issues before they become problems, attacking every task—from a broken door handle to a complex machine teardown—with high energy and urgency.
