About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; trade school or technical certification a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related trade, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Comfortable working independently and overnight in an industrial environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Forklift certification a plus, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
  • Perform manual labor
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climbing, and working in various conditions in a manufacturing plant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systems throughout the plant during the overnight shift.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and building system failures overnight to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct nightly facility walkthroughs to identify and address safety hazards, leaks, or equipment issues before they escalate.
  • Perform minor repairs to doors, dock equipment, flooring, and general building infrastructure as issues arise during the shift.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders, and coordinate with day-shift facilities staff on ongoing issues and handoffs.
  • Operate and maintain building equipment such as compressor’s, elevators, chillers, and generators.
  • Adhere to all plant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required.
