Facilities Maintenance Director
About The Position
We are seeking a stellar Maintenance Director to join our team at a large senior living community in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our Maintenance Director oversees keeping our residents living areas well-kept, serviced to high standards and leads a team of housekeeping staff. You should also be able to resolve resident complaint and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detail-oriented and friendly.
Requirements
- Requires two years of related maintenance experience and some formal training in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning.
- Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs at assigned location, problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
- Supervisory/leadership experience necessary
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations
Responsibilities
- Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
- Prepares resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance by either providing these activities or working as a team member to achieve these results.
- Maintains the grounds by sweeping, and trimming trees and shrubs, or other activities, such that the outside grounds are always presentable.
- Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment. Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control, and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly.
- Oversees housekeeping staff, maintaining cleaning supplies, and ensuring resident rooms are cleaned to a high standard.
- Keeps accurate maintenance records of work done, inventory and purchasing. Manages expenses through knowledge of budget. May purchase maintenance supplies, tools, and appliances. May maintain inventory of master key system.
