About The Position

Landscapes and maintains campus grounds: mowing, snow removal, including maintaining and operating power equipment, trucks, etc.

Requirements

• Ability to read
• Ability to write
• Ability to lift
• Ability to safely operate and maintain power equipment
• Three years of full-time work experience in the building and trades industry
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes one year of full-time work as a Maintenance Repairer
• Valid Driver’s License (may be required after hire)
• Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit upon hire (for DOT positions)
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with required endorsements and applicable restrictions (for DOT positions, if designated)
• Valid Class C Non-Commercial Operator’s License (if CDL not designated)
• Pre-employment drug screen (for designated DOT positions)
• Ongoing participation in random drug and alcohol testing program (for designated DOT positions)
• Post offer pre-employment physical verifying the physical ability to perform the duties described
• Arrange transportation to and from assigned work areas
• Respond to emergency situations as required, including during non-routine working hours
