About The Position

DLZ Corporation is seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to support our growing company. This position will assist the South Bend, Indiana office in addition to 8-10 owned/leased properties in the region, either remotely or in-person. This role is ideal for graduates of technical programs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, industrial maintenance, or related fields) looking to gain hands-on experience and grow their skills in a professional environment. Training will be provided.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • 5 years or more of facilities maintenance/management experience in an office or light industrial setting
  • Knowledgeable in building HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Knowledge of building regulatory/code requirements
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, contracts and general construction practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of employees up to and including senior management
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history and travel of up to 50% throughout the Midwest

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive facilities maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget. This includes all heating, air conditioning, as well as the general maintenance and repair of select DLZ buildings and facilities. May be required to complete requires personally when practical and/or coordinate with trade specific contractors when appropriate
  • Acts as primary contact for local utility and service companies in matters that affect DLZ property
  • Interior and exterior painting including surface preparation, sealing, regular touch-ups, and simple drywall repair
  • Roof maintenance i.e. clearing debris, ensuring HVAC units are fictional, inspecting for water and heat related damage, vent inspection, gutter/flashing inspection
  • General maintenance of grounds, including landscaping and removal of snow and ice from sidewalks
  • General maintenance of office spaces i.e. changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, moving furniture and/or office setups
  • Ensure company properties are visually appealing, safe, and serviceable, including parking lots, loading docks, exterior lighting, etc.
  • Assists the Corporate Asset Manager in preparing and analyzing facility metrics reporting for trends to improve efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned
