About The Position

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic 1 As the largest machine tool builder in the western world, we need world-class talent in all of our departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Understands/Adheres to safety requirements within the department and company. Maintain landscaping in the lunch parks & front of buildings. Prune trees around the campus as needed. Report any trees that need to be removed for safety reasons. Work with contractors to support remaining areas around the campus. Use landscaping equipment such as mower, trimmers, and chainsaws. Use basic hand tools. Assist level 2 mechanics with plumbing, electrical, and framing. Follow written and verbal instructions. Assist contractors and vendors when needed. Employee must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift. Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager. • Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. • Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Requirements

Maintain an active Haas Forklift certification.
Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and safety rules; such as work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Must be able to effectively present information to the following: in a one-on-one setting or small group situations for our customers, clients, and/or other employees of the organization.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
May need to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out written, oral, and/or diagram instruction forms.
Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
