This role involves performing minor reactive repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. The position requires the ability to cut, weld, and fabricate, and the candidate must be able to follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics. The job also includes safely operating equipment associated with manufacturing and demolition of conveyor systems, including fabrication/welding, and conduit and wiring installation/demolition. Responsibilities extend to troubleshooting, repairing, and constructing mechanical and electrical systems, including compressors, air lines, diverters, cylinders, switches, VFDs, and control devices. The role also involves assisting with or following work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets, coordinating with operations, locating parts/tools, and scheduling equipment time. Proficiency with CMMS is expected, along with assisting LGSTX Services and contractors on maintenance, modifications, and operations. General labor for material handling maintenance, including cleanup, is also part of the duties. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including all shifts, weekends, and some holidays, with potential overtime. A professional attitude, immediate reporting of issues, flexibility with tasks, adaptability to changes, quick learning ability, and the capacity to take direction are essential. Collaboration with other departments and personnel is also required. Maintaining accurate paperwork, work orders, electronic records, and reports, and ensuring equipment and work areas are kept in excellent condition are key responsibilities. Adherence to all LGSTX and/or customer operating procedures, and a strong focus on safety and compliance with all policies, federal, state, and local regulations are mandatory.
