The Facilities Lead is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the organization's buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure facilities and organizational vehicles operate efficiently and remain safe and reliable for staff, the people we serve, and all program participants. This position identifies maintenance needs, completes assigned repairs, and coordinates with supervisors or external vendors when specialized work is required. The Facilities Lead helps ensure that The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region Corps maintains a safe, clean, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, program participants, and guests. This position is responsible for routine building maintenance, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, grounds care, vehicle monitoring and upkeep, and facility safety. This position also supports room setups for programs and events, assists with seasonal maintenance, and helps identify and address facility and security needs. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this position plays a vital role in maintaining the organization's buildings, grounds, and fleet while ensuring compliance with safety standards and supporting the daily operations and ministry of The Salvation Army.
