About The Position

The Facilities Lead Maintenance Technician at McKesson Corporation will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility systems and equipment. This role involves leading maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and contributing to a well-maintained and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (up to 480V), plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and train others.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or vocational training in a relevant technical field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical) preferred.
  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant trades are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building infrastructure.
  • Lead and guide a team of maintenance technicians, providing technical expertise, training, and support.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and building codes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Assist in budget planning for facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate and maintain building management systems (BMS) as required.
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction within facility operations.
