About The Position

Responsible for the overall supervision and cleaning performance at agency sites. This role involves leading, motivating, training, and evaluating janitorial employees across multiple locations. The supervisor will develop work schedules, ensure quality cleaning standards, manage supplies and equipment within budget, and address work quality issues. The position requires adherence to agency policies, safety regulations, and compliance with various governing bodies.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or High School Diploma.
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable and capable of performing cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Willingness to lead, supervise, and train janitorial staff and/or people with disabilities at multiple locations.
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Basic Computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently.

  • Provide supervision and guidance to the employees at this work site.
  • Must provide own transportation to and from worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, train, and evaluate janitorial employees in multiple agency locations.
  • Develop work and task schedules according to the Statement of Work (SOW) for janitorial services.
  • Provide exemplary cleaning standards and assist in cleaning the Ogdensburg work center.
  • Ensure knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and proper chemical handling.
  • Monitor the use of supplies and equipment within a specified budget.
  • Plan and monitor the completion of all periodic work.
  • Address work quality issues and other concerns effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership by example through punctuality and exceptional attendance.
  • Communicate concerns with the Quality Control Manager and Contracts Manager regularly.
  • Maintain basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Adhere to all Agency Policies and Procedures.
  • Support the goals, objectives, and philosophy of the agency.
  • Comply with CQL, Justice Center, HIPAA, and Corporate Compliance regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
