About The Position

The Facilities Engineering and Operations department is responsible for maintaining and optimizing Relativity’s physical assets, including buildings, infrastructure, and utilities. Guided by our team motto, "People, Process, and Place," we manage maintenance programs for critical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Our team oversees daily operations, including energy management, safety, and custodial services, while also addressing facility-related issues. We lead engineering projects, manage space utilization , and implement sustainability initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Key skills within the team include technical expertise , project management, problem-solving, and vendor management. Ultimately, we play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sustainable work environment. Excellent working knowledge of Heating & Cooling Systems Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry working with Mechanical systems and other trades. Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment. Experience with Mechanical distribution, load balancing, single-line diagrams, design documentation, construction drawings, construction bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, field superintendent, permitting, QA/QC. Experience with commissioning, operating, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Experience with grounding and bonding electrical and mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of Heating & Cooling Systems
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry working with Mechanical systems and other trades.

  • Valid California state driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems
  • Prior experience in service maintenance, construction, and/or repair.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, which may involve working from heights at 80+ ft and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on ladders as well as squatting, stooping and/or kneeling with a tool belt
