About The Position

The Facilities Grounds Technician performs maintenance service and light repairs across a range of areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine service, electrical work, tile work, furniture repair, upholstery, welding, and vehicle servicing. The role also helps maintain and repair the casino’s outdoor grounds and facilities. The technician is expected to present a positive image in the casino and community and provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
WCR Gaming License required.
Communication skills, including clear speaking and writing, listening, seeking clarification, responding to questions, participating in meetings, explaining information, presenting numerical data, and interpreting written information.
Teamwork skills, including balancing team and individual responsibilities, openness to others’ views and feedback, collaboration, cooperation, and contributing to team efforts.
Dependability, including following instructions and management direction, taking responsibility for actions, and completing tasks on time or notifying the appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Class II or III casino experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related maintenance activities.
Repair furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, small appliances, and equipment; replace light bulbs, filters, dimmers, and locks; and perform other duties assigned by the shift supervisor.
Diagnose and resolve minor facility or equipment problems, independently or with assistance.
Assist with furniture setup and construction, office moves, changes, and redesign.
Notify management when major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, or ventilating equipment are needed.
Provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers.
Follow company safety rules and codes.
Operate company vehicles to perform company services.
Assist with maintenance, repair, and upkeep of casino grounds and outdoor facilities, including landscaping, sidewalks, fences, outdoor furnishings, recreational areas, building and parking lot lighting, signage, parking lot patching and striping, sweeping, snow and ice removal, and rodent control.
Plant and maintain grass, shrubs, flowers, and trees by cutting, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and controlling weeds through spraying or physical removal.
Coordinate with and pass pertinent grounds information to the following shifts.
Perform additional duties as necessary.
