About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Facilities & Grounds team is in search of a part-time Facilities & Grounds Leader who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. There is nothing that compares to coming to work surrounded by over 10,000 animals! This position will be responsible for the supervision and training of part-time Facilities and Grounds employees for the Toledo Zoo. In addition, they will provide the services necessary to maintain cleanliness, safe conditions, sanitation, and pick-up appearance of all Zoo grounds. This includes custodial and grounds maintenance, ensuring that restrooms, walkways, seating areas and other public spaces remain spotless and welcoming for our guests.

Requirements

Must be at least 18+ years of age.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must understand the importance of a clean and safe working environment with a strong attention to detail.
The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves

A valid drivers’ license and the ability to be insured by the fleet insurance carrier is preferred.
