About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Facilities & Grounds Leader to supervise and train part-time Facilities and Grounds employees. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and appearance of all Zoo grounds, including custodial and grounds maintenance. The goal is to ensure that restrooms, walkways, seating areas, and other public spaces are spotless and welcoming for guests. This position reports to the Park Facilities & Grounds Manager and is non-exempt, part-time.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18+ years of age.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must understand the importance of a clean and safe working environment with a strong attention to detail.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves

• A valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by the fleet insurance carrier is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and training of part-time Facilities and Grounds employees.
• Provide services necessary to maintain cleanliness, safe conditions, sanitation, and pick-up appearance of all Zoo grounds.
• Perform custodial and grounds maintenance.
• Ensure restrooms, walkways, seating areas, and other public spaces remain spotless and welcoming for guests.
