About The Position

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo’s Facilities Mechanical Engineering Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Must have completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCad preferred

Responsibilities

Identify/Execute projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify system optimization.
Troubleshoot System Faults and Resolving Interruptions
Update/Optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix
Update Building and Facilities Equipment documentation: As-built drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sequence of Operations (SOOs), System Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Preventative Maintenance plans (PMs)
Capacity vs Demand Analysis
Support process equipment installation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fab engineering, EHS, and energy.
