About The Position

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo’s Facilities Engineering Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Graduation date 2028

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Self-Starter, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a highly integrated team environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated mechanical/engineering aptitude

Responsibilities

Become acquainted with the various chemical and mechanical systems at the Hillsboro campus by reading specs, training materials, and system reviews with respective technicians and engineers.
Monitor chemical and mechanical systems performance by using SCADA information and participate in system troubleshooting and repair.
Perform audits on chemical and mechanical systems to identify areas for reliability improvements and energy savings.
Support high value capital projects on chemical and mechanical systems.
Under the direction of a Facilities Engineer and the Facilities Engineering manager, complete a project in approximately 2 months and report out to the Facilities organization.
Research new equipment and assess risks/rewards for new and existing chemical and mechanical systems.
