Chevron is hiring at various operating locations across the U.S. for Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Engineers. These roles support operating facilities and projects by applying technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. Key areas of support include optimizing facilities for value, safety, and reliability; providing technical support for turnarounds and projects; developing and deploying technologies to reduce carbon emissions and increase efficiency; and using digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety. Entry-level engineers will participate in Chevron's Horizons Program, an early-career development program that includes formal training, on-the-job development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments. The program has two development tracks: Electrical Systems or Instrumentation & Controls, both focusing on designing and maintaining relevant systems and equipment. After the Horizons program, engineers may continue in their initial track or move into areas like Reliability & Integrity Engineering, Technical Safety Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Engineering Design & Projects, or General Facilities Engineering. Career advancement opportunities exist as individual contributors or in supervisory and management roles. Facilities engineers may also work in or lead other business functions such as Operations or Business Development & Commercial.
