Chevron is hiring Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Engineers to support operating facilities and projects. These roles involve applying technical engineering knowledge and project management skills to optimize facilities for value, safety, and reliability. Engineers will provide technical support for turnarounds and projects, develop and deploy new technologies to reduce carbon emissions and increase efficiency, and utilize digitalization and data analytics to improve operations and safety. Entry-level Electrical Engineers will participate in Chevron’s Horizons Program, an early-career development program that includes formal training, on-the-job development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments. The program has two tracks: Electrical Systems and Instrumentation & Controls. Both tracks focus on designing and maintaining instrumentation, control devices, electrical power systems, and equipment, with specialization based on the assigned track. Engineers will support activities such as process control networks, process automation systems, large power systems, generator operations, power system integrity, and power management. The Horizons program typically concludes within the first five years, with opportunities for engineers to work in various locations. After completing the program, engineers may continue in roles related to their track or explore other areas like Reliability & Integrity Engineering, Technical Safety Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Engineering Design & Projects, or General Facilities Engineering. Career advancement opportunities include individual contributor roles, supervisory positions, and management roles. Facilities engineers may also move into other business functions like Operations or Business Development & Commercial.
