About The Position

Analyze, estimate, plan and manage routine facilities projects with support from senior facility engineers. Will coordinate with various internal and external customers to meet project goals. May direct one or more routine projects at a time. Responsible for safety, quality, cost and schedule of each project being managed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or similar)
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Facilities Engineering environment.
  • Good communicative skills - both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out facilities engineering assignments in a timely and professional manner with emphasis on technical standards, principles and theories.
  • Provide solutions to routine projects.
  • Work closely with department’s senior staff on their projects.
  • Develop and collect information necessary to evaluate existing facilities and associated systems.
  • Works with internal customers to develop routine scope of work.
  • Prepare information suitable to obtain supplier quotations and review this with department senior staff for completeness.
  • Prepare project approval packages for senior management approval.
  • Writes requisitions and reports to senior staff on the procurement status.
  • Prepares project completion checklists and assure procurement meets the objective.
  • Participates in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, improve quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
