We are currently seeking a responsible, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Facilities Department as Facilities Engineer.

Requirements

  • Work knowledge of electrical/ plumbing/ AC, Refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment diagnosis and repair
  • Ability to assess service situations to determine scope of work required to repair malfunctioning equipment or area.
  • Basic computer skills and be able to quickly adapt to computer programs required for the position.
  • Must have a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have minimum five years of progressive experience in a Retail building maintenance.
  • Must have Apprentice level knowledge and experience with at least two years of independent work.
  • Must have valid Hawaii Drivers License and clean abstract

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior guest service to all stores, managers and fellow associates.
  • Anticipate service needs, including asking questions of managers and associates to better understand their needs and watching/listening to preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely, courteous and efficient manner, through verbal or telephone requests or through Verisae (Maintenance management software)
  • Assess situations to determine scope of work required to repair malfunctioning equipment or area.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Perform repairs to overall property, including store customer areas, common areas, storage rooms, and work areas.
  • Process all follow-up paperwork for recordkeeping and all other duties as assigned or required.
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment for all locations.
  • Maintain proper maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g. evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
