About The Position

This position will maintain building operating system components including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The Facilities Engineer will assist the Facilities Management team in all building maintenance and help create a safe and code compliant building setting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of building maintenance on a low tear level.
  • At least 3 years of building maintenance at a technician’s level.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with HVAC.
  • Current holding of a CPO or ability to pass test on first try to obtain.
  • Have a refrigerant handlers license.
  • Commercial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Commercial Plumbing maintenance experience.
  • Have computer skills: use word documents, the ability to use email and other basic skills.
  • Ability to work with electrical systems switches, motors and breakers.
  • Ability to trouble shoot HVAC issues related to refrigerant balancing and electrical components and control circuits.
  • Ability to balance and work with pool chemicals.
  • Ability to work with drywall and other building materials.
  • Work with commercial lighting 120/277VAC.
  • Be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Work on ladders and lifts safely and within code.
  • Work with power tools safely and to code with proper PPE.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and properly.
  • Ability to solder.
  • Carpentry.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with Digital Building Operating System.
  • Experience with forklifts and manlifts.
  • Have a valid California drivers license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain building electrical components.
  • Maintain plumbing systems pumps, heaters, and fixtures.
  • Assist with pool maintenance.
  • Work with building materials to maintain building structure, building appearance, cleanliness, and building safety.
  • Work alongside other facilities team members in all daily tasks professionally.
  • Order parts and assist team members in maintaining the facilities departments warehouse and all storage areas.
  • Work off of work order program to get daily task and check preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all building systems and knowledge of the systems functions.
  • Keep record of preventive maintenance of major machinery on digital format.
  • Work alongside vendors when needed.
