About The Position

Under limited supervision and with independent judgment, this role supervises and coordinates activities relating to the infrastructure of company property. Key responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), assisting with the implementation of occupancy-based controls, lighting automation, scheduling, and demand management programs. The position also involves responding to building service calls and emergency situations involving electrical or control systems, maintaining, installing, and repairing power and lighting equipment, and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. The role requires participation in after-hours and on-call coverage and functions as a team leader, recommending and communicating goals, directing operations, developing and implementing operational plans, and training, coaching, and leading staff. Additionally, the position may involve serving as a contributing member or leader of project teams, coordinating resources to ensure project activities are achieved. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), or Energy Management Systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, motors, control circuits, and HVAC controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control drawings.
  • Proficiency using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical certification preferred.
  • Experience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, or Trane Tracer systems.

Responsibilities
