Requirements

Forklift experience preferred. Machine rigging experience helpful, but not necessary.
Basic building maintenance knowledge.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record & must complete a DOT physical (ability to safely operate a 26,000 lb commercial vehicle).
Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with internal and external customers.
Self-directed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer knowledge.

Machine rigging experience helpful, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist loading and unloading machine tools weighing up to 25,000 lbs using a 3,000 – 35,000 lb forklift. Unwrap machine, tear down crates and skids, and dispose of materials.
Assist with moving machines as requested.
Change and add coolant as needed to the showroom machines.
Clean and prep machines for shipment; clean metal chips and coolant, wipe down and wrap machine.
Maintain professional appearance of showrooms at all times; clean floor, clean glass, wipe door handles, cabinets, chair rails, etc., ensure trash is emptied, clean walls, fix cracks/paint chips and scuffs.
Assist with exterior building maintenance; maintain sidewalks, snow plowing in winter, maintain pallet storage, make minor repairs as necessary, etc.
Assist with interior building maintenance; operate floor scrubber, make minor building repairs, etc.
Assist with deliveries and pick-ups as requested.
Participate in safety committee.
Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position.
