Facilities Day Custodian
About The Position
The City of Bend is accepting applications for one (1) regular, full-time Facilities Day Custodian in the Facilities Division of the Real Estate, Facilities and Housing Department. This is an hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible) position represented by the City of Bend Employee Association (COBEA). The City may use this job posting to create an eligibility list for future hiring purposes. We’re looking for a dependable and service-minded Day Custodian who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining our brand-new Public Works Campus—ensuring facilities are spotless, restrooms are well-stocked, and shared spaces are always inviting. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; AND 1 year experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Current and valid Driver's license per City policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Ability to obtain CJIS certification within 6 months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience
- Familiarity of Microsoft Excel
- Strong customer service mindset
- Basic comprehension of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Responsibilities
- Provide great customer service.
- Restock restrooms and kitchen.
- Clean common areas such as Intersection (dining area), restrooms and other common areas.
- Conference room setup for larger events.
- Occasionally assist Facilities Technicians with preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain and order inventory for night shift janitors.
