About The Position

The USC School of Cinematic Arts Office of Facilities Management and Operations is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join its team. The school’s state-of-the-art facilities include classrooms, computer laboratories, theatres, stages, administrative offices, exhibition spaces, and a cafe. The Facilities Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of School of Cinematic Arts facilities located both on and off campus. This position serves a key role in coordinating academic space scheduling and facilities operations to ensure an exceptional environment for teaching, learning, research, and special events.

  • Experience coordinating facilities operations, scheduling, or space management
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to train and lead student employees
  • A proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach to work
  • Knowledge of computer software for record maintenance and familiarity with facilities operations.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and assigning instructional spaces for academic courses
  • Coordinating classroom, theater, stage, and computer lab utilization
  • Addressing repair and maintenance issues
  • Conducting facility inspections
  • Managing access controls
  • Coordinating vendor services
  • Supporting facility opening and closing procedures
  • Implementing process improvements
  • Hiring, training, and supervising student workers
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and campus partners regarding facilities-related needs and space utilization.
