Requirements

  • A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and 2 years progressively responsible related building and equipment experience.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information.
  • Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Requires basic computer skills for data entry, reference and/or retrieval tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of building safety regulations and security protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts, implements, and manages preventative maintenance schedules for building and equipment. Assures equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
  • Responds to urgent building maintenance and equipment emergency calls. Assures a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Supports emergency preparedness efforts by maintaining, updating, and administering building evacuation and other action plans. Participates on emergency preparedness planning team.
  • Manages supply needs, such as kitchen, office equipment, and supplies; reorders as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison between senior managers and leadership with landlords, vendors, suppliers needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Acts as liaison for cleaning crew and day porter. Oversees the schedule for cleaning the building.
  • Documents onsite maintenance technicians and keeps maintenance records.
  • Monitors expenditures of routine maintenance billed to actual budget spending.
  • Monitors and updates Facilities Management (FM) software and work orders.
