About The Position

The Facilities Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas within the facility. This includes a range of tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and ensuring restrooms are kept spotless. Additional duties involve, but are not limited to, conducting routine inspections, tracking maintenance activities, and performing necessary maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1-year minimum janitorial experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to be able to communicate effectively.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets.
  • Ability to adhere to safety requirements.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling.
  • Frequent squatting.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans all spaces on the floor and in office areas (cleaning walls, trash removal, dusting, and mopping floors).
  • Deep cleans restrooms, breakrooms, offices and front lobby area. This will involve a complete rubdown and giving attention to the often neglected and hard-to-reach spots.
  • Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Stocks and maintains the supply room.
  • Provides ongoing support to other team members by assisting those with heavier workloads as time permits.
  • Follows all health and safety regulations.
  • Performs and documents routine inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Carries out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
