About The Position

The company has fourteen manufacturing facilities globally with over 1000 employees. This position is for a Facilities Cleaner II at the Gowanda Electronics facility in Gowanda, NY. This role is crucial for the success of housekeeping operations, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility for a safe and orderly environment. The Facilities Cleaner II will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the facility, performing routine cleaning, inspections, maintenance activities, and handling special projects as needed. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, and physically capable of performing heavy cleaning tasks. Experience with cleaning chemicals, familiarity with Safety Data Sheets, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards are highly desirable.

Requirements

Less than high school education required
Proven working experience as a cleaner
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
Ability to follow safety protocols and company guidelines

Responsibilities

Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Follow all health and safety regulations
Other duties as assigned
