About The Position

The Facilities Associate is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas within the facility, including production areas, offices, hallways, break rooms, and restrooms. This role involves performing general housekeeping duties, basic facility upkeep, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment. The associate will operate cleaning equipment, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and report any facility issues or concerns to their supervisor. Maintaining a professional attitude and assisting with special projects are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to safely operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.
Ability to identify and report unsafe conditions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous janitorial, housekeeping, facilities, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain production areas, offices, hallways, break rooms, restrooms, and other facility areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash and debris from assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other common areas.
Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste according to company procedures.
Clean spills and address housekeeping hazards promptly to help prevent slips, trips, and falls.
Restock restroom, break room, and janitorial supplies as needed.
Maintain an organized and adequately stocked janitorial supply area.
Perform basic facility upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as assigned, such as changing light bulbs, replacing dispensers, or reporting facility issues.
Assist with maintaining exterior areas, including entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and other assigned areas.
Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and properly.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Properly use, label, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, leaks, maintenance concerns, or other facility issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with special cleaning projects, facility inspections, and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when working around employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
