About The Position

Pennington Park Church is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facility Coordinator Assistant to provide oversight and support in the management of our church property and facilities. This role is essential to ensuring that our building and grounds are maintained with excellence and that we steward our resources responsibly. The Facility Coordinator Assistant will be a hands-on role, working alongside our team of volunteers and vendors to maintain a welcoming and well-functioning space for our congregation and community.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a church environment is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the church building and grounds, ensuring that both are safe, clean, and well-kept.
  • Help manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring tasks like landscaping, cleaning, repairs, and other outsourced services are carried out effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate a team of lay volunteers, providing guidance and direction to ensure all facility-related tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Respond to and resolve facility-related issues as they arise, from minor repairs to larger-scale facility needs.
  • Be available to complete any necessary tasks to ensure the church’s facilities function properly, from setting up events to performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Work closely with the Church Facility Coordinator to ensure smooth and effective communication across the team and with the church leadership.
