The Facilities Assistant is directly responsible for, or may be required to assist in performing grounds keeping, light construction, maintenance, and repair duties on the Bannock County Event Center (BCEC) & Wellness Complex parks grounds, facilities, public areas, and buildings. This position entails working directly with the public daily, requiring professional and courteous exchanges with both internal and external clients. A heavy focus is given to assisting with community events in various capacities including, but not limited to, setting up/taking down: audio video systems, tables, chairs, tents, and canopies. The job requires knowledge of grounds keeping and landscaping skills, building trade skills, and the ability to operate the tools and equipment required to complete the assigned tasks. The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other county employees, other organizations, and the general public.
