About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance of assigned clinics, including all maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. This role is also responsible for the cleanliness of the clinics, inside and out, and for maintaining a plan for fire evacuation and disaster response. The Facilities Assistant serves as the facility Emergency Response Coordinator and is responsible for the paper recycling program. They must maintain up-to-date records for all state, federal, and insurance inspections, provide training and supervision for relief employees, and stay current on OSHA safety standards. Additionally, this position is responsible for the distribution and safeguarding of building keys. In accordance with Joint Commission Responsibilities, the Facilities Assistant must maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment, demonstrating an understanding of compliance and reporting requirements for Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of experience as a facilities assistant or related role.
  • Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
  • Reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
  • Valid driver’s license (if driving during work hours).
  • Compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements (if driving during work hours).

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a preventive maintenance program within the annual budget.
  • Performing maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
  • Ensuring cleanliness, inside and outside of assigned clinics.
  • Maintaining a plan for fire evacuation and disaster response.
  • Serving as facility Emergency Response Coordinator.
  • Managing the paper recycling program.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records for state, federal, and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections.
  • Providing training and supervising relief employees.
  • Keeping current on OSHA safety standards and implementing them.
  • Distributing and safeguarding keys for buildings.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.
