About The Position

The Facilities Area Manager supports QVC and oversees daily maintenance operations, staff management, and the safe, reliable performance of building systems across multiple sites. This role is onsite and will require you to work from our QVC Florence, SC facility daily. You will report to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • Trade school education and master‑level skill in a relevant mechanical trade, with any required licensing.
  • 8–10 years of mechanical trade experience and 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a related maintenance environment.
  • Technical and operational skills including reading technical data, using automated systems/CMMS, and performing budgeting calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations by supervising mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work across multiple sites to ensure all building systems remain safe and operational.
  • Manage staff and contractors through scheduling, coaching, performance feedback, and supporting ongoing skill development.
  • Oversee budgets and maintenance planning, including repairs, preventive maintenance, inventory, and cost control.
  • Promote operational efficiency by improving response times, minimizing downtime, and ensuring completion of facility requests and projects.
  • Support facility operations 24/7 through on‑call availability, issue escalation, and being backup to the Facility Manager.
