About The Position

FCP Euro is hiring a Facilities and Maintenance Technician Level 1 for our fulfillment center in Mesa, AZ. This hands-on role reports directly to the Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Manager. You will provide critical tactical support to keep our high-speed fulfillment center running safely and efficiently. This includes performing preventative maintenance (PM) and rapid troubleshooting on our conveyance, automated print-and-apply systems, fluid power machinery, and racking layouts, alongside general building upkeep. Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on mechanical, machine shop, or automotive repair experience (distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and digital multimeters to diagnose standard mechanical failures.
  • Capability to consistently lift, push, or pull up to 60+ pounds and work on ladders or aerial platforms as required.
  • Proficiency using internal digital tools including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs) to track maintenance ticketing logs.
  • Critical thinking skills to look past the surface symptom and fix the true root cause of equipment downtime.
  • A strong "paints behind the cabinet" mentality focused on clean, accurate, and durable repairs.
  • Ability to clearly update operational team leaders on current equipment downtime status and upcoming maintenance windows.
  • High School Diploma/GED required

Nice To Haves

  • progress toward a trade certification or an Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Plumbing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, belt tracking adjustments, sensor cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs on all motorized conveyors.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated inline labeling and print-and-apply systems to prevent shipping bottlenecks.
  • Execute PM schedules and basic diagnostics on pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic balers, and associated valving.
  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and repair industrial racking layouts and packstations to optimize workflow.
  • Support routine safety checks and minor mechanical maintenance on the warehouse lift fleet.
  • Conduct structural touch-ups including painting, minor electrical swaps, basic plumbing fixes, and routine HVAC filter/belt replacements.
  • Act as the primary internal point of contact for external trade vendors (licensed electricians, major HVAC, security, fire suppression).
  • Monitor the internal facility ticketing system independently to prioritize, status-update, and close out repair requests.
  • Keep maintenance shops, utility rooms, and fulfillment floor technical areas clean, organized, and safe.
