About The Position

The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining all THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Facilities and Engineering Manager will be a key member of the team. As an experienced Engineering and Facilities professional and influential people manager, the postholder will be responsible for the management of fixed assets across the NJ Operation. Driving a consistent culture of safety and quality, you will deliver the site engineering strategy by developing competence within the team while also introducing the latest technologies to promote best practise. You will work collaboratively with other sites, sharing ideas and experiences to ensure that we continue to grow and develop the THG network globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 5 years site Engineering, Facilities Management and leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills, will challenge in positive manner and promote collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving techniques
  • Autonomy and self-drive to deliver and succeed
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation, prioritise in fast a paced environment
  • Knowledge and experience of PPM strategy, improvement techniques and tools
  • Lean and TPM awareness

Responsibilities

  • Promote health & safety awareness, ensuring compliance with THG policies, risk assessments, and safe working systems.
  • Maintain all statutory and regulatory compliance for the site.
  • Deliver PPM safely, on time, within budget, and to required standards.
  • Create and manage engineering (capex/opex) budgets with accurate forecasting and finance alignment.
  • Lead capital projects, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget, high‑quality delivery.
  • Ensure optimal performance and availability of M&E equipment; meet SLAs/KPIs and respond to outages.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs (e.g. RCM, CBM, FMEA).
  • Ensure adequate resources, staffing, shift planning, and spare parts management.
  • Manage third-party contractors effectively.
  • Represent engineering in site/group forums and produce performance reports.
  • Manage team performance, recruitment, and development (including apprentices/graduates).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, BRC, ISO, and waste management standards.
