About The Position

PulseLearning is seeking experienced facilitators to deliver and maintain customer training for a global software client. The facilitator must have expert, hands-on knowledge in at least one of two product areas: PIPE-FLO, used for fluid piping system modelling, or AGi32 and ElumTools, used for lighting design and analysis. The role delivers live training to engineering and design professionals both virtually and in person, and manages the full learning event—from virtual classroom setup through evaluation and reporting. The facilitator also maintains accurate, up-to-date course content and uses approved AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and help modernize the training. This is not a project-based role, and workload will vary. Training may cover a 12-course PIPE-FLO series, including modelling skills, pumps, heat transfer, control and instrument devices, custom pipes and fittings, data import and export, viscous and non-Newtonian fluids, closed-loop systems, compressible gas analysis, and common modelling mistakes. AGi32 and ElumTools training includes introductory courses at standard and relaxed paces, intermediate roadway lighting, basic interior and exterior lighting in ElumTools, and Revit with ElumTools for lighting designers. Courses are typically scheduled one to two times per course each quarter. The facilitator creates interactive learning experiences, adapts delivery to learners’ experience and needs, maintains course materials and version control, administers virtual classrooms, and produces accurate evaluation and reporting outputs. The role also applies quality, accessibility, privacy, and security requirements; acts on learner feedback; and identifies opportunities to improve course delivery and automate or streamline recurring tasks. Occasional travel is required for in-person delivery.

Requirements

  • Expert, hands-on knowledge of PIPE-FLO, AGi32, or ElumTools gained through professional engineering, design, or applications work; expertise in at least one product area is required.
  • For PIPE-FLO training, a background in fluid systems, piping, pumps, HVAC, or process engineering.
  • For AGi32 and ElumTools training, a background in lighting design, lighting applications, or roadway lighting.
  • At least 3 years of experience facilitating technical training for adult learners, with proven delivery in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • A confident, engaging presence and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and handle questions in the moment.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and running enterprise virtual classroom platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Webex, including engagement tools and attendance tracking.
  • Experience designing, developing, or updating technical courses and exercises.
  • Experience creating learner surveys and evaluations and producing reports from learning or survey platforms, with strong attention to data accuracy.
  • Practical experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot or other AI-enabled tools in content development, training delivery, or reporting, with a responsible approach to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for AI and new ways of working, with a record of adopting new tools and delivery methods and welcoming feedback on facilitation.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, including the ability to manage course delivery, administration, and reporting concurrently.
  • Strong learning agility and ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Lighting, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in more than one of the product areas.
  • A facilitation or train-the-trainer certification.
  • FLO-Master certification, Lighting Certified (LC), PE, or membership of the IES or Hydraulic Institute.
  • Experience with learning management systems, virtual lab environments, Autodesk Revit (for ElumTools), or eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate scheduled live courses virtually and in person, typically one to two events per course each quarter, in PIPE-FLO, AGi32, and/or ElumTools.
  • Create engaging, interactive learning environments that encourage questions, hands-on practice, and peer learning; adapt facilitation style and pace to learner needs and experience.
  • Maintain and update course materials, exercises, and practice models to reflect software releases, and maintain version control.
  • Collaborate with client subject matter experts and product teams to turn engineering concepts into practical learning experiences.
  • Apply adult learning principles and client learning objectives when designing and delivering courses.
  • Develop or update facilitator guides, job aids, FAQs, and process documentation using approved source materials.
  • Create and administer virtual classroom sessions using approved enterprise platforms, including configuring access, participant settings, invitations, engagement features, learning materials, and virtual labs where used.
  • Coordinate session readiness and rehearsals with other facilitators, and run polls, quizzes, knowledge checks, attendance tracking, and engagement activities.
  • Extract and reconcile attendance and interaction data, prepare completion information for downstream processing when automated integration is unavailable, and troubleshoot virtual learning issues or escalate them to technical support.
  • Create and validate survey and evaluation links for the audience, delivery modality, and measurement requirements.
  • Run reports across learning, media, survey, content, and collaboration platforms; review data for completeness and accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and document limitations.
  • Consolidate information from multiple sources using approved, repeatable processes and prepare reporting outputs and summaries for PulseLearning and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain reporting schedules, templates, and instructions to support consistency and self-service.
  • Apply requirements for naming conventions, version control, accessibility, privacy, and security to course materials and learner data; escalate relevant quality, privacy, accessibility, or operational risks.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to processes, guidance, and the learner experience.
  • Use Microsoft 365 Copilot and other approved AI or automation tools to support preparation, content updates, exercise creation, feedback summaries, meeting notes, status updates, document reviews, and reporting, while remaining accountable for accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Use approved AI tools to identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent information and to organize or reconcile attendance and evaluation data, with appropriate human review.
  • Review and validate AI-assisted outputs for technical accuracy before they are used with learners or the client.
  • Use learner feedback and evaluation results to improve facilitation and course content; explore and recommend delivery approaches such as blended formats, shorter modules, and on-demand support.
  • Identify repetitive tasks that may benefit from AI or automation and contribute to testing and documenting safe, repeatable improvements.
  • Take initiative, anticipate needs, and raise constraints and risks early; support knowledge transfer and onboarding of other facilitators when needed.
  • Work effectively with remote, globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and stay current with product updates, industry practice, facilitation and instructional design trends, and learning technologies.
